LLF Taking Over Kingston This Weekend!

As announced earlier, Low Level Flight will be opening for The Trews at the Ale House on Friday night. Listen to KROCK 105.7 to hear an acoustic performance and interview with the band around 4p.
Then, LLF will be headlining a Saturday night concert in downtown Kingston as part of the 1000 Islands Poker Run. Should be a great night!

August 07, 2007 / LLF & Gibson Reach Out to the Community
Low Level Flight and Gibson Guitars Canada are proud to host the students of the Regent Park School of Music for a tour of Gibson's Canadian headquarters in Toronto on Wednesday August 8th. The Regent Park School of Music is a Not-for-Profit Music school which services the children of the Regent Park community, and is one of Toronto's foremost independent non-profit community music schools. Their mandate is to provide a safe and secure environment where inner-city young people can participate in an affordable after-school music program.
In an attempt to reach out to the community, the children of the school's summer day camp were invited to experience the world beyond their own community. The children will enjoy an exclusive acoustic performance by Low Level Flight, get interactive via a Q&A session, and take pictures and get autographs with the band.
We're really glad to be a part this event. Watch for photos to be posted in the days following.

You've waiting long enough for this, so let's get right to it...

We're very excited to announce that our debut album, Urgency, will hit stores in Canada on March 27th, 2007. The album will be released on our own label, I Heart Records, with distribution from Fontana North, and we're also happy to have the added support of a great team of people at Angeline Entertainment and Frontside Promotions. It feels great to be surrounded by people who believe in the music as much as we do!

As mentioned in our last update (see below), Change For Me, will be the first single off the album.

How's the new year been treating you all? Well, we hope.

We're looking forward to a great one, and for us, it starts this coming week, when we'll be sending out our first single, Change For Me, to radio. It's been a while since our last update, but a lot has been going on.

We finished recording our album with producer Mike Borkosky, and it sounds awesome! We're so happy with it and can't wait until the new year when the album will be released. We've been building a great team of people who will be helping us spread the word, and we'll let you know all the details about the record once confirmed. Our first single will be released in January, so stay tuned for those details as well, and get ready to call those request lines!

The Vanderzand twins, Mike (guitar) & Simon (drums), have both decided to leave the band to pursue other interests, and we wish them all the best. Joining LLF for our shows will be Dave Carter (guitar) and Brandon Merenick (drums). They are great guys and great musicians, and we're really excited to have 'em on board. Keep checking back for updates on when you'll be able to catch the band live!

Just a quick little update on what's going on with us: Now that last week's acoustic shows are done, we're back to focusing on writing more music and rehearsing before we head into the studio to record the album.
